Mt. Nachi Seigantoji Temple / Sanju-no-Toh (Three Storied Pagoda)
The Sanju-no-Toh or the three storied pagoda is estimated to be built in the end of the Heian period, when Mt. Nachi was most prosperous. The vermilion pagoda beautifully matches with Nachi Falls and Nachi Primeval Forest.
The pagoda was burnt down in conflicts between powerful families.
The existing pagoda was rebuilt after 400 years from the fire in 1972.
