Hamanomiya Oji Shrine and Kumano Sansho Omiwayashiro Shrine
Hamanomiya Oji is one of Kumanofs Ninety-nine Oji shrines. It was a junction of Nakahechi, Ohechi, and Iseji roads.
Pilgrims used to purify themselves by seawater before visiting Mt. Nachi.
The Oji used to be called Sansho Gongen or Nagisa-no-Miya. Today, itfs named Kumano Sansho Omiwayashiro Shrine.
