This is a mighty two-tiered waterfall in Tanagodani, Kumanogawa-cho in Shingu City. It is hidden away in a valley covered in virgin forest and with a plentiful flow of water that later runs into the Kumano River.
The name is said to come from a white-nosed eel that lived in this waterfall long, long ago.
The first tier has a drop of 45m and the second tier above it has a drop of 38m. This makes it a huge 83m waterfall that is well off the beaten track.
