Content Number:20824

Kishu Binchotan Museum
This area is the original place of production of Kishu Binchotan (high-grade charcoal produced from oak), as the name suggests.
In the exhibition corner visitors can see very enthusiastic approaches to using the charcoal for new products and other proposals for uses of charcoal as displays.
The center is not only a place for learning about the history and traditions surrounding Binchotan and manufacturing methods, but also watch charcoal furnace demonstrations and try making charcoal wind bells.
